About Us

Yuppie Decor comes from very humble beginnings. Co-founders Aaron and Shannon were newlyweds with an empty apartment, and a desire for furniture and decor that was classic, modern--and unique.  They began modernizing antique and vintage furniture for their apartment, and loved it. They quickly attracted a following among their friends, and before long they were providing custom furniture and decor to clients all over the Washington, D.C. area.

What had begun out of necessity quickly evolved into a passion and full blown business endeavor....Yuppie Decor. A snowball began to roll as the business expanded based on strong word of mouth referrals and a devotion to high style at an affordable price. Thanks to their faithful customers and a number of great news stories, orders were flowing in from literally all over the country: Los Angeles, New York City, the Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, Chicago, Atlanta, and down to Palm Beach.

Aaron and Shannon soon noticed a void in the market for a comprehensive online resource where underground furniture designers and potential clients from all across the nation could easily interact with one another. Armed with a new dream, Yuppie Decor was reborn.

Yuppie Decor is now set up essentially as a one stop shop for anyone interested in purchasing custom furnishings and decor from underground designers and suppliers. You can browse multiple designers’ work and search for designers in a specific city. Additionally, the site is an open resource for furniture designers to showcase their work and sell their products online, with the ability to reach a far greater audience than before.

Our goal at Yuppie Decor is simple. We strive to be the premier website for clients to find and purchase custom home furnishings and decor from designers all across the country.

We hope you enjoy using our site!
